The music featured at Westminster United Church is vibrant, eclectic, and joyful.

Facilitated by our Music Director Nancy Dettbarn, our services are enhanced with a surprising blend of beloved and topical hymns, classical masterpieces, contemporary songs, guest artists, young performers, and musical groups. We welcome you to enjoy the music and to come and take part in rehearsals, supportive fellowship, and making a joyful noise!

Celebration Choir

Our Celebration Choir invites anyone who enjoys singing and wishes to experience different styles of worship music to join them on Thursdays at 7:00 p.m. The Celebration Choir performs regularly at Sunday Services at Westminster United Church. Spirit Band

Spirit Band is a “Praise Style” band with instruments and vocals providing an alternative style of music. The mandate of the band is to “Make a Joyful Noise to the Lord”. The purpose of the band is to be accepting of each other’s gifts and talents, to experience growth, and share our music ministry with our church and community. Day By Day

Day By Day: The group was not part of the original umbrella of Westminster but formed by 3 people who wanted to create music, sing & harmonize together, perform in the community at churches and at nursing homes. However, since 2015, the group has found its home within Westminster and is supported by the church.

Bassically Sound

Bassically Sound: Consisting of two couples, the group has been singing as a quartet for over 20 years. They have enjoyed performing for Westminster as well as weddings, festivals, and community events. Singing from the bass clef (hence the name) they perform a wide variety of music and also enjoy traveling and eating together. The Westminstrels
